days until Halloween!

Meet the Switch Witch Team

Audrey Kinsman

Audrey Kinsman
Audrey Robertson is the creator of The Switch Witch and the Magic of Switchcraft. A proud mother of two young boys, Robertson struggled with finding a solution to the piles of candy that her two sons collected while trick-or-treating.

When not being the Head Witch and director of Magic, Audrey is a number cruncher CFO and active member of community, serving on multiple boards and philanthropic organizations that support women, children, education and animals. But her favorite thing to do is be an awesome single Mom and play with her kids! She will often be seen racing them down the street on a skateboard, setting up a lemonade stand, or chasing them down the mountain on skis. This modern mama loves to cook, run her two dogs at 5am, and just happens to be a wine snob and Certified Sommelier.

Rachel Gaede

Rachel Gaede  is the Director of Switch Witch Operations. Rachel keeps the brooms flying on time, the candy sorting color coded and makes sure that every box has the just the right amount of magic inside. This Witch has experience in operations with everything from digital marketing to architecture, so it’s no wonder this smarty pants can figure out global manufacturing, distribution and logistics!

Although she hails from Boston, she and her husband have called Colorado home for the past 7 years. Since she no longer has ocean views, she quickly fell in love with all things outdoors in the Rocky Mountains. If not hosting a team party on her Denver rooftop, you’ll find this travel expert visiting family and friends with a laptop in tow.

Jess Spore

Jess Spore  is the Head of Creative and Marketing. From leading the charge on social media to being the right hand witch on all design projects, Jess is the Pumpkin Butter to our Witchy Toast! She honed her skills studying Textile Design at KU, and is quickly becoming the token techy of the team.

Jess has resided in Denver for the past 6 years, and makes frequent trips back to Kansas to see her family cheer for the Jayhawks and eat some KC BBQ – in that order! When Halloween is not in season, you can find Jess riding all the chairlifts in Colorado and probably beating you down the mountain. Some fun facts about this very decisive, yoga loving witch: She tells the scariest ghost stories ever, is the youngest “cat lady” we actually know and makes the best homemade Halloween costumes!

Answers to Your Witchy Questions

Where does my Switch Witch come from?

Your Switch Witch lives in Witchy World high above the clouds. Lots of good and fun magic takes place here. Your Switch Witch can arrive at almost anytime, though they tend to show up in early October when it starts to get chilly in the Northern Hemisphere.

Can I touch my Switch Witch?

Every Switch Witch is different. Some like to be part of the family and go on trips to school and the store. Maybe out for a Hayride. Others prefer to watch and observe the family from afar, or hanging from a light fixture perhaps. Your instincts and your Witch will let you know.

Does the Switch Witch know the Elf on the Shelf ?

Both are very special and magical creatures doing highly important tasks here on earth. They have crossed paths, but are not related and generally appear at different times of the year.

Does my Witch have a name?

When you adopt a Witch, she comes into your home and will be part of your family forever. Although some Switch Witches you may come to know, your very own Switch Witch is yours to name.

How does my Witch know if I am bad or good?

Witches have very special magical powers that allow them to know such things. Having a Witch in  your house means that she is focusing just on the kids in that house. Your friends may also have Witches, they are looking out for good behavior in the house that had adopted them.

If Witches are magic, why do I see them in stores?

Some Witches will just appear in your home, others are brought to families via approved Witchy adoptions. These take place in stores that the Witch World has approved.
